Death Stranding still hasn't attracted a release date yet, but creator Hideo Kojima has thrown us a bone by confirming the game has now reached the 'critical phase' of development. That's the bit that comes before debugging, in case you wondered. Speaking in a post on Twitter, the Kojima Productions head honcho revealed that plays Death Stranding on a daily basis on PS4, in an effort to determine which content will make the cut or be given the chop. '[Death Stranding] is not yet in difficulty adjustment or debugging stage, but combining all the parts made in [different] tools and development machines into one game,' ( via Eurogamer ). 'It's a process to connect the parts, to fix the operation, feelings, the production, the specifications, the trouble, and to strip the flesh and [make changes] while I play the game directly every day on PS4. Today, during its first-ever State of Play livestream, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed a brand-new  Days Gone  trailer that delves deeper into the game's story, which follows Deacon St. John, a drifter and bounty hunter who rides the broken rode on his motorcycle looking for a reason to live in a post-apocalyptic world that is falling apart and increasingly hostile. If you're looking for new, raw gameplay of the open-world action-adventure title in-action, the new trailer won't be for you. But, if you're looking for more story details on the game's world and Deacon's motivations, then it's certainly worth the two minutes of your time it will take up. There have been 200 improvements through patches so far and more in the works. Anthem  has had a  rough launch , and no one is more aware of the issues than developer BioWare. In a candid  blog post , company general manager Casey Hudson acknowledged the early run has been "rougher than expected" and said the team is "very disappointed" with the number of issues plaguing the title. Despite the problems, BioWare is offering reassurances to gamers that BioWare will  continue to support and improve the game. According to Hudson, the  Anthem  team have already pushed out more than 200 improvements through patches and updates. He's also promising more changes in the future to address game flow, stability and performance -- much of which is driven by feedback from players. Citing “sources close to the studio”, French website  ActuGaming  claims the singer has recently been in and out of the Cyberpunk 2077 developer’s offices in Warsaw, Poland. The Google translation of the article is super awkward, but explains that “from what we know, the artist would have gone to CD Projekt Red to potentially perform a performance in motion-capture”. This speculation is backed up (kind of?) by this otherwise inscrutable response by the game’s Twitter account to one of Lady Gaga tweets from 2012, implying some sort of collaboration between them.

Cyberpunk 2077  could be launching this year, according to a rather shaky 'leak' that's since been deleted. Spotted by a  Reddit  user, a description on the official website for  Territory Studio  -- the company that worked on the cool logo design and animation for  Cyberpunk  2077 -- apparently stated that the game is set to release in 2019. This statement was supposedly removed from the description shortly after it was made public. Fallout 76 ’s seventh major patch  Wild Appalachia  arrived today and with it comes a host of changes. There are the usual fixes and improvements, but the new update also includes some new content that helps bring some life back into the game’s previously stagnant world. The biggest new addition is a quest called Wasted on Nukashine that encourages you to perfect the art of brewing some Nuka-Cola-infused hooch for a drunken robot named Biv. This robot, by the way, has spent the last few decades stumbling about in the basement of a tattoo parlor that had been converted into a speakeasy by some students at the nearby university who were tired of the cops constantly busting up their keggers. Players have noticed something different with the PS4 release of   Devil May Cry 5 . The critical success was released on PC, Xbox, and  PlayStation , but only one of the three releases has had some content weirdly censored in its Western release. This first came to light in a YouTube video which highlighted creative use of lens flare by the team behind the game. Devil May Cry 5  features a number of mature scenes ranging from a lot of gore to some trademark nudity. This is nothing new for the series, which has always been provocative since its inception. World War Z  is a  third-person shooter   video game  developed by  Saber Interactive , published by  Focus Home Interactive  and scheduled for release for  Microsoft Windows ,  PlayStation 4 , and  Xbox One  in April 2019. The game was announced in December 2017 as a four player cooperative at  The Game Awards .  The game is based on the 2013 film  World War Z , with gameplay featuring over the shoulder  third person shooter  cooperative combat against large numbers of zombies, defensive traps and emplacements. Rockstar Games has announced a reward for players who activate two- step verification  on their accounts. These players will earn free money in  GTA Online  and free gold bars in  Red Dead Online. First announced on  Rockstar’s Newswire blog , this programme will reward players with $500k in  GTA Online  for activating the extra security on their Social Club accounts. Players will also receive 10 gold bars in  Red Dead Online . For players who have already activated two-step authentication on their accounts, Rockstar will be rewarding those players with the same amounts of gold and cash. Social Club users can add two- step verification  to their accounts   by visiting the settings of their profile on the Social Club website. Death Stranding is an upcoming action game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4. It is the first game from director Hideo Kojima and his reformed development studio after their disbandment from Konami in 2015. The game was announced at E3 2016 and has no set release date. Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Lindsay Wagner, Troy Baker, Tommie Earl Jenkins and Emily O'Brien are set to star in the game, with motion capture, facial scannings and vocal performances. Film director Guillermo del Toro also contributed his likeness to another character through facial and body scanning. The game's title is a reference to the cetacean stranding phenomenon.
